May has seen the Sqn win the London & Middlesex Rifle Association Cadet Target Rifle Competition for a fourth consecutive year, the London Wing Athletics competition for a second year, vist RAF Odiham home of the Chinook helicopter, 2 Mountain weekends in North Wales, a Bronze DoeE practise expedition, Cadets supporting DoE at Buckingham Palce and the appointment of FS Ponteen as the Mayors Cadet for the London Borough of Redbridgeand much more! – full details can be found on our Facebook page at 241squadron Air Cadets

 

April 2018 Activities

April has seen the cadets very busy winning the London Wing Inness Sword Military Skills competition, conducting an L81 target rifle camp at Pirbright, running the annual McGrath Trophy intersection competiton (won by Cpl Ahmed with No 4 Section), supporting the RAF 100 celebrations and much more! – full details can be found on our Facebook page at 241squadron Air Cadets

March 2018

March has seen the cadets busy with the first L81 target rifle shoot of the year in very snowy conditions, Recruit and Fieldcraft Training at Crowborough, Drill and Band camp on Bodney , cadets recieving awards from the Mayor of Redbridge and CWO Billie James being selected as the best female cadet in London and South East Region and going forward to the National competition in May– full details can be found on our Facebook page at 241squadron Air Cadets

February 2018 Activities

February has seen our cadets flying in the Tutor at 6 Air Experience Flight, L98 shooting at Henley Park, 3 Cadets passing the inagural Gold Badge First Aid Instructors Course, Jack Petchy awards, 7 Instructor Cadets, some snow and navigation training in Epping Forest!  – full details can be found on our Facebook page at 241squadron Air Cadets

Be Inspired – Be an Air Cadet. We have limited spaces on our next Recruit Course which starts on Wednesday 07 March 2018 at 7.15pm at our Sqn HQ. If you are in School Year 8 to 17 years old you can join our team and take part in the huge range of activities that we do – Flying, Gliding, Shooting, Adventure Training, Camps, Band, Sport, Duke of Edinburgh’s award, qualifications, First Aid, Leadership, Parachuting and much more, plus have fun and make friends!

January 2018 Activities

2018 has started busy for the Sqn with CWO James selected as the best female cadet in London Wing, CWO Holder selected for an International Air Cadet Exchange, CWO Holder, FS Ali and Cpl Polsologou selected for Flying Scholarships, potential NCO training, L98 Shooting, aviation training, Region Cross Country and navigation training in Epping Forest – full details can be found on our Facebook page at 241squadron Air Cadets

 

December Activities

As the year draws to a close the Sqn has been verybusy with the Annual Presentation evening, L98 Shooting, supporting the Mayors Santa Fun Run, L98 weapon training and  Bag Packing at Morrison’s – full details can be found on our Facebook page at 241squadron Air Cadets

November Activities

November has seen the Sqn taking part in Remembrance activities, collecting over £5000 for the Royal British Legion Poppy appeal, winning the London Wing Cross Country, being inspected by OC London Wing for our Annual Inspection and welcoming Air Vice Murray London Wing President for a visit to 241, and the Sqn Fanfare Team competing at the National Music Championships   – full details can be found on our Facebook page at 241squadron Air Cadets

October Activities

October has been busy with Recruit and Fieldcraft training at Crowborough, practising for the national Inter Cadet Service Rifle Championship – CISSAM – in which the Sqn came 2nd overall, gained 8 Cadet 50s and won 4 matches, using a synthetic aviation trainer and taken part in Sports trials, and started the Sqns latest recruit course   – full details can be found on our Facebook page at 241squadron Air Cadets

September Activities

September has seen the Sqn winning the London Wing Field Day competition for the 3rd consecutive year with wins in the Band, Air Recognition and Fanfare sections and high placings in Drill, First Aid, Banner Drill and Aero Modelling.  Cadets have also attended a Drill camp at Bodney, supporting the local Councils annual Mayors Service, the Woodford Music Festival and CI Jameel Campbell completing a Flying Scholarship   – full details can be found on our Facebook page at 241squadron Air Cadets
