Every cadet in the ATC can expect to have an Air Experience Flight in a powered aircraft at least once a year, in a fully aerobatic aircraft. Cadets on AEF can expect to take full control of the aircraft under the tuition of the pilot and perform various aerobatic manoeuvres. The pilots are regular RAF officers who give up their weekends to fly cadets - they may well fly supersonic Tornados for the other five days a week. To participate in this activity a cadet must have passed the Airmanship and Navigation exams in the First class Cadet Syllabus and be at least 13 years and 3 months of age. 241 Squadron flies at 5 AEF at RAF Wyton.
