On Monday 24 February the Squadron saw the formal passout parade for No 74 Recruit Flights. After a packed 6 - 8 months of training the cadets were posted into the main 2 Flights on the Sqn. Their training has consisted of learning about the ATC and RAF, Weapon Training, use of radios, Expedition Training, Drill, Sport, and Airmanship, having the opportunity to take part in powered flying and rifle shooting, and completing a recruit training weekend at Crowborough Training Camp.

Their proud parents watched a drill display by the cadets and were then given a presentation of what their young people had achieved and the opportunities open to them in the future by Fg Off Ben Filer and the the Flight Commander, Sgt Max Lungu. The Flight was then marched onto the Sqns Final Parade and the cadets welcomed to the main Sqn by the OC, Sqn Ldr Jerry Godden, and then posted to their new Flights, where a bright future awaits them. 100 Cadets, 15 Staff and the Sqn Civilian Committee turned out on Monday 03 February for the Cubby Sword and Kregie Trophy Awards presentation. Commandant air Cadet, Air Commodore Dawn McCafferty attended to present the Cubby Sword to FS Arina Puzrikova for being best Cadet on the 2013 RAF Cranwell Leadership Courses. After inpsecting the Guard of Honour and the Band she toured the Squadron and stated at the end that we are an "amazing Squadron" with a "real buzz!". It was also an honour to have Air Commodore Clarke (retired) presenting the Kregie Trophy , a World War 2 Bomber Command veteran and former Prisioner of War, still sprightly at 91 years old, to Corporal Amy Richards for being the best Air Cadet on the 2013 Frimley Park Courses. Again the Sqn lived up to its motto of "One of Many, Second to None!"
