241 win Elworthy Competition!

Our Elworthy sword team spent the weekend at Crowborough Training Camp battling it out against 8 other Cadet Units from the London area for this prestigious trophy. The competition runs all weekend and is a test of the team’s core military skills competing against Teams from all three Services.

Congratulations go to our team for coming first and Winning the Competition for the second year in a row. The team was led by FS Makins and had the following members:

Out of Six events the team won four, the full positions are as follows:

Assault Course – 1st
Drill – 1st
Orienteering – 1st
Speed March and Shoot 1st
Leadership – 3rd
First Aid – 4th

The prestigious Elworthy Sword was presented to our Squadron by Air Commodore Elworthy who is the Son of Lord Elworthy.

Well done to all who trained in the team and assisted in their training.

The team now becomes the McCormack team and will represent the Squadron and London Cadet Association against the best Cadet teams from all 3 services in the Country.
