241 win the LASER Lees Trophy nomination

The Sqn has just been informed that it has been selected as the Best Sqn in London and South East Region. This was after a incredibly busy year from last April, production of a huge form charting our achievements over the 12 months (which took Fg Off Harvey about 60 hours to collate!) and a formal Inspection by Group Captain Hakin and Sqn Ldr Kelly, from HQ at RAF Northolt, during which the Group Captain saw the cadets in action on the Sqn.

The Sqn has represented the Region in this competition in 1992, 1993, 1997, 2002 and 2003, winning the Morris Trophy in 2002 and 03 (awarded to the second placed unit).

To be selected as the Regional Representative is an honour for the Sqn and recognises the efforts of the staff, both uniformed and civilian, and the most important people on the Sqn – the Cadets that have been made over the last 12 months.

Now we face another Inspection from the Chief of Staff from HQ Air Cadet in May, the preperations for that starting now!
