A busy weekend

Over the first May Bank Holiday weekend the Sqn was busy in several different areas. Cadets and Staff attended Caple Curig camp in Snowdonia National Park in North Wales to get some quality mountain days in the challenging mountain countryside to prepare for their Gold and Silver DoE expeditions in August. 3 cadets (Bachar, Bari and Sharp) attended Weathersfield Airfield to flying in the Viking Glider on their Gliding Induction Course, having up to 5 launches in the glider on an excellent day for gliding. The Shooting Team competed with 3 teams, with a team from 1838 Sqn, in target rifle shooting at Bisley Ranges firing against other Air and Army Cadet units in the London and Middlesex Rifle Association Cadets Competition. The A Team came 4th, and Cdt Raj won the individual 300m comeptition with a score of 33.2. Finally Cdt Srilthan completed his Silver DoE expedition with other London Wing cadets in the South Downs.
