A first for the Squadron

Cpl Bianca Nicklen has succesfully completed the International Four Day Marches at Nijmegen (or Vierdaagse)in Holland, the first time a cadet from 241 Sqn has ever attempted this challenge.

This is the largest marching event in the world. It is organised every year in Nijmegen in mid-July as a means of promoting sport and exercise. Participants walk 30, 40 or 50 kilometers daily, and, on completion, receive a royally approved medal (Vierdaagsekruis). The participants are mostly civilians, but there are also several thousand military participants.

Bianca was part of the London Wing Team and trained long and hard to complete this grueling physical and mental challenge. She stated " it was a great experience and as much a mental challenge as a physical one, I am training for next year already!"
