A Flying Start to 2006

On Sunday 08 January 2006 20 Cadets went flying with the RAF at RAF Wyton in Cambridgeshire on the Tutor fully aerobatic aircraft. In spite of the seasonably wet and windy weather all cadet flew and were able to take control of the aircraft and experience aerobatics.

On Saturday 14 January Cadets studying for their Leading Cadet qualification attended a practical navigation training session in a muddy and cold Epping Forest. There they were shown the basics of map and compass work. This will also come in useful when they are on their Duke of Edinburghs Expeditions.

Cdt FS James Grant is currently attending an RAF Skiing course in Barvaria, Germany. A full report will be posted in due course.
