Over the weekend of the 11-12 June a number of cadets from the Squadron completed phase 1 of their Bronze Duke of Edinburghs Expedition, walking for two days in the rural countryside around Harlow and Epping without staff being present. The expedition also included over night camping and cooking all their meals as part of the assessment. Unfortunately the weather on the Sunday was awful, with rain and wind being unseasonable and adding to the challenge of the event. However all groups made it to their pick up point (eventually!) and the Assessors now await their reports so they can pass phase 2 of the expedition!
