A former Cadet Warrant officer from 241 Sqn has just passed out of Initial Officer Training at the Royal Air Force College Cranwell. Fg Off Ajvir Sandhu served for seven years on 241 and rose to be the senior cadet on the Sqn, gaining his Flying scholarship, Gliding scholarship, Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and shooting at ISCRM at Bisley to name a few. He was also the Lord Lieutenants Cadet for London and attended camps in the Falklands and a Sqn expedition to the Alps. He was an excellent cadet and it was no surprise to learn that after the grueling 32 week course at Cranwell that he had been awarded the Hennessy Trophy and Philip Sassoon Memorial Prize for the best al round cadet of the course. Aj will now start his elementary flying training as he works towards his pilots wings.
