Bronze Expedition Crowborough East Sussex

On the Weekend of the 21-22 June, cadets and staff deployed to Crowborough, although for the relief of the 20 cadets and staff involved, not for the grueling Recruit exercise. The Cadets have been under training for the past three months to complete the Expedition phase of the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award. Starting in a small Village called Ardingly- home on the famous Bluebell Steam Railway, the young cadets took their bearings and headed across the West Sussex Countryside.

The 12 week course is run on the sqn. The Course consists of taking beginners and train them to be able to walk, navigate in countryside. The culmination of the course is a two day expedition without Staff assistants

Cdt Burgess stated “It was fun weekend and very helpful with progressing our skills”
