Cadets from the Squadron have attended range practise in January at Ash Electronic Target Range in Surrey and the DCCT Range at Wellington Barracks. The two ranges differ, one is outside and has targets at ranges of up to 300 metres, which requires a steady hand and self discipline, and the other is internal in a nice warm room (!) and displays the targets on a screen using a sophisticated laser marking system which feeds back to the firer what they are doing in the marksmanship cycle and allows them to identify errors and areas to improve. The practises where both fired on the L98A2 cadet General Purpose Rifle and have enable the cadets to prepare for the forthcmming Inter Flight Shoot. The photos shows the cadets on Ash Range and waiting the next practise.
