Cadets, friends and family have been helping to reduce 241 Squadron’s carbon footprint. The Squadron has been collecting cards for the Woodland Trust’s Christmas Card Recycling Scheme which is run in association with Tesco’s.
The Trust was set up in 1972 and is responsible for protecting and creating woodland and forest sites. They currently protect 19000 hectares of land and have created 3200 hectares of new woodland.
Fg Off Nick Harvey, the Sqn Second in Command, set a target of 1000 cards, approximately 8 cards per cadet. However in usual 241 style we have superseded our own target with a whopping 12080 (yes twelve thousand) cards.
Seen with some of the cards are Cdts Ruffini, Thompson and Cpl Graham
