cadets meet the RAF

Cadets from the Squadron have enjoyed the hospitality of the RAF over the summer camping season with 8 cadets going to RAF Brizen Norton, the home of the RAFs transport and tanker fleets, 1 cadet to Linton on Ouse, home of basic flying training, and 13 cadets to RAF Wyton home of intelligence and logisitics. The cadets had the opportunity to work and play with the RAF, getting up close and personal with some of the largest aircraft in the RAF, training with the RAF Regiment, trying out high rope courses, shooting and sports and bonding with cadets from 241 and other Squadrons in the Wing. Cadets also visited RAF Conningsby, RAF College Cranwell (where the picture of Sir Winston Churchill the Squadrons First Presdient was taken by Cdt Campbell) RAF Fyllingdales and participated in the customary night exercise at each camp.
