Cadets visit the RAF

Cadets from the Sqn visited RAF Northolt on the 07 April in a visit organised by Cdt FS Myles Webb. The cadets where able to visit Londons Military Airfield and get a first hand view of the RAF at work. Visits included 32 (The Royal) Sqn who fly VIPs and Royalty, the Fire Service and the Expolisve Ordancne Disposal Unit who deal with unexploded bombs and improvised explosive devices. The cadets where able to examine an CC125 aircraft, try out firefighting equipment and try on a Bomb Disposal Suit as well as see a robot bomb disposal machine up close. The OC Sqn Ldr Godden said “this was a excellent opportunity to see the RAF in action, and also gave FS Webb valable experience in organising the visit ready for his transfer to the adult staff side in November. I would like to thank all the staff at Northolt who made the trip possible”. Cdt Mondahass said “One of the best trips i’ve ever been on. Really enjoyed operating the EOD’s Robot and operating the massive fire hoses”.
