On Saturday 05 May a number of Cadets and Staff took part in a Charity Abseil from the Harlow Water Tower, a prominent local landmark on the M11 to Stanstead Airport.
The 110 foot high tower was abseiled of off by the participants, who where sponsored to take the leap into the abyss on behalf of the Sqns Charity for 2007, Haven House Hospice in Woodford, who look after terminally ill children.
It is estimated that over £1000 has been raised and the participants will be chaseing their sponsors enegetically for the money!
The OC, Sqn Ldr Jerry Godden stated that "the worst part was getting to the top of the tower, as the internal spiral stairs were metal grateings allowing an unobstucted view to the bottom from the top which was somewhat intimidating!"
The picture shows the tower with participants on the descent.
