Flying and Shooting

Over the last few weeks the Sqn has been shooting and flying.

Firstly on the L98 at Ash Ranges on the Electronic Target Range – a very wet day, but due to the correct use of protective equipment the only person to get soaked was a certain ex cadet now serving in the Royal Marines! Congratualtions to Cdts Smith and Dawson for gaining their Wing Marksman in challenging conditions.

Secondly on the L81 at Stoney Castle in the last shoot of the Pre Bisley Competition. The weather was far more benign and distances of up to 600 yards were shot. We now await to see how many teams we will get to ISCRM in July.

The Sqn has been flying twice over the half term week at 6 AEF at RAF Benson, giving cadets the opertunity to take control of the fully aerobatic Tutor, and both days has excellent weather as a bonus.
