Inness Sword Team Success

Our Inness sword team spent the weekend at Crowborough Training Camp battling it out against 27 other Squadrons from London Wing for this prestigious trophy. The competition runs all weekend and is a test of the team’s core military skills.

Congratulations go to our team for coming first and bringing the trophy home. The team was led by FS Makins had the following members:

Cdt Ryan O’Grady
Cdt James Simpole
Cdt William Brown

And reserves Cdt Chris Hodges, and Tashan Charles.

Out of seven events the team won four, the full positions are as follows:

Assault Course – 1st
First Aid – 1st
Navigation – 1st
Speed March – 1st
Shooting – 3rd (Cpl Zealander got the highest score of the day)
Drill – 5th (We got 422 the top team got 432 so very close)
Leadership – 9th

Our overall score was 168, 1838 Sqn got 159 and 4F Sqn scored 152

The team now becomes the Elworthy team and will represent London against the Army and the Navy cadets next weekend. They will be training hard all this week.
