Inter Flight Shoot

On Sunday 24 Feb the Sqn shot the annual Inter Flight Fullbore Shooting competition on Longmoor Ranges. Fired on the L98 rifle and the L86 Light Support Weapon, the competition involved firing the Earl Roberts practise of deliberate shooting at 300m, rapid and snap shooting at 200m and a fire with movement shoot from 300 – 100m, firing a rifle pairs shoot from 500m to 300m and a LSW shoot over the same distance. Cadets from 31, 1838 and 2048 Squadron also participated in the shoot, and inspite of the cold and snow flurries during the day the eventual winners of a very close shoot was No 1 Flight led by Sgt Purzikova (centre picture). The other pictures show a brief for the Rifle Pairs about to begin and Flt Lt Reuben coaching a cadet before the deliberate shoot.
