Cadets from 241 Sqn recently attended a Boat Trip down the River Thames laid on for Air Cadets from around the world in the UK for the annual International Air Cadet Exchange.
FS Cross reports:
"On Wednesday 20th July 5 NCOs from 241 Squadron were invited to attend a boat party on the Thames. The party was organised by Sqn Ldr Hale as part of the International Air Cadet Exchange programme. The IACE allows cadets from countries all over the world to visit foreign cadet forces, see their country and how the cadets there operate. Not all countries have there individual cadet forces and the NCOs found themselves talking to a 22 year old female F16 pilot from the Israeli Air Force. Also on board were cadets from Canada, USA, Netherlands, Belgium, and Hong Kong.
Each year London Wing is allocated a number of places to allow UK cadets to visit other cadet forces all over the world. We have recently had cadets visit the USA, Canada, India, Australia, Holland and Norway and all they have had to pay for is their plane ticket! The photograph shows (left to right) Sgt Bhadresha, FS Cross, Sgt Gbeho, Sgt Sandhu and Cpl Browne relaxing as the boat passes under Tower Bridge".
