More Success for the Sqn

On Sunday 09 Oct the Sqn Elworthy Trophy Team, representing London Wing, took the prestigous Elworthy Sword against stiff competition from the Army Cadet Force, Sea Cadets, and other Air Cadet units from around the Region.

The Sqn won the Assualt Course, Command Task, and Orienteering, and came second in the Shooting and Drill, with a fourth in First Aid

This is the third time that the Sqn has won this competition over the last 10 years, and congraulations are due to the Team and their trainer ASgt Tom Jerome for this splendid effort.

Meanwhile Teams from the Sqn were representing London Wing at the Region Field Day at RAF Uxbridge in First Aid, Shooting, Aircraft Recognition and Aero Modelling. The Teams managed a First in First Aid (Sgt Cross, Cpl Fothergill, Cdt Hodges and Cdt Charles) and a second in the shooting.

Other cadets from 1 Flight were enjoying a weekend of canoeing, rock climbing and mountain biking in Snowdonia, North Wales. As well as this cadets from 3 Flight went canoeing at Fairlop Waters and had a very good time.
