Cadets engaged in the Duke of Edinburghs Award Scheme at Silver have been awarded Certificates for completing a Police Service Course by Superintendent Wayne Mawson, Head of Operations, Harringey Borough, Metropolitian Police Service.
The cadets followed a 3 month course organised by Sgt David Hale and visited Wood Green Police Station, Redbridge Magistrates Court, the Air Support Unit at Lippetts Hill, Public Order Training Centre at Gravesend, as well as having presentation on Drugs, Police Dogs, Forensics and Q Cars.
Cpl Emily Channon said "The course was really interesting and gave me a real insight into the work the Police do. I would like to thank all the Police Officers who gave up their time to talk to us and show us around".
Having qualified for the service section of the DofE Award, several cadets have now qualified for the award of the Silver Stage of the Award Scheme.
