Rewarded for Service

Two members of the Squadron have been recognised for their service recently. Warrant Officer Lee Morris has been honoured by the award of the Greater London Reserve Forces’ & Cadets’ Association certificate of merit from the Lord Lieutenant of London, Sir David Brewer CMG JP. Lee has been in the Air Cadets for over 20 years as a cadet and member of staff and has been recognised for his outstanding efforts in contributing to the success of 241 Squadron and the provision of high quality training to our cadets. Lee is a qualified Mountain Leader and Obstacle Course Supervisor and plays a practical hands on role in the delivery of the cadet experience. Cadet Warrant Officer Akshat Mandalia has been selected as the Best Male Cadet in London and South East Region, and now represents the Region in the Dacre Sword Competition to find the best male air cadet in the UK. Akshay , who is at university has a Flying Scholarship, Gliding Scholarship, Gold DoE and is a graduate of the QAIC Course amongst his many achievements!
