Seven cadets at London Planetarium

On Thursday 17th November, seven cadets from 241 Squadron attended the London Planetarium to receive their medals for being Jack Petchey young achievers.

The evening started with a spectacular light show, music and dance from youth groups from around London and West Essex. Our cadets were then brought on stage where Meera Syal who is an actress and writer presented them with their medals. She is better known for her part as the Grandmother in the Kumar’s at number 42.

They then had photographs taken with Mr Jack Petchey, who generously presents all the award winners with £200 to be spent on the Squadron.

Cadet Olivia Cocker said, “ It was a brilliant night, us getting our awards and meeting Jack Petchey himself, and just being at the ceremony was unforgettable”

Well done to:

Olivia Cocker
Kourtney Shaw
Kyle Hollyomes
Ross Graham
Ajvir Sandhu
Sarah Foley
James Simpole, who couldn’t attend due to illness.
