Ash Ranges saw the first outing of the 2007 Shooting Team on the L81 Rifle, on a gloriously sunny Sunday on the 07 March.
However it was all going too well when at 1400 hours we had to stop firing for 1.5 hours as idiots on motorbikes had entered the range danger area and had to be removed by the Police!
However all cadets fired the weapon at least twice and some good initial scores where obtained, with Ben Filer scoring 30.2 and 31.2 out of 35. The Team will now be working towards the April Shooting Camp with a weekend on the L81 to prepare us for our first competition in May.
In addition, on the Saturday evening the Civilian Committee ran a successful Quiz Night which raised over £400 for the Squadron coffers.
