Trooping the Colour

On Saturday 15 June Sgt (ATC) Chavner and Cpl Bean were privileged to be part of the RAF Flypast at the end of Trooping the Colour ceremony in London which marks Her Majesty The Queens Offical Birthday. Flying with 100 other Air Cadets from around the country on the RAF’s latest Tanker Aircraft – the Vovager – at low level over central London as part of a demonstration of the RAF’s current and historic fleet and in close formation with Tornado and Typhoons was a flight not to be forgotten! Cpl Bean said “it was a great flight even though it was very turbulent at low level, but this showed the skills of the Pilots of all of the aircraft, and a honour to be chosen to represent 241 Sqn and London Wing”. On the Sunday, London and South East Region held a formal parade at RAF Northolt to troop the Region Banner, with cadets from every Sqn in the region being present in the parade. Cdts Campbell and Deol were chosen to represent 241 Sqn and played their part in what was described as an excellent parade and turnout by the cadets by the Regional Commandant, Gp Cpt Hakin.
