On Saturday 23rd June a contingent of cadets, accompanied by CI Grant, took part in Veterans’ Day Celebrations in Loughton. The cadets paraded along side veterans of the Royal British Legion including their band and also Marine Cadets and Army Cadets. The parade marched from Loughton swimming pool and along the entire length of Loughton High Street. The high street came to a standstill to watch the march past and members of the public commented on the smartness of the cadets.
The celebrations continued at Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College sports field with the cadets also taking part in the opening ceremony of the weekend events.
Those attending the event at GGSK College were also treated to a show from a Parachute display team from the Army as well as a selection of interactive stalls and static displays from local charities.
