Cpl Carl Ghebo visited London City Airport with the ATC, organised by a member of London Wing Staff. Carls report is below:
“My visit to City Airport was excellent, I was able to marshall, have a ride in luggage trolleys, climb over and in a £22million aircraft, which had £100,000 carpets, so we had to wear these special bags over our shoes. Also spy on people with the airport security cameras. We visited Air Traffic Control, and the Fire Section which has trucks similar to that of the RAF. And we were able to drive all over the runway in a fast, air conditioned Land Rover. Yeah, you have to see it to believe it!
On top of all of that we were given, All you can eat Pizza Hut, which was great.”
