Wet and Windy

On Sunday 02 May the Sqn fielded 3 teams at the Annual London and Middlesex Rifle Association Pre Service Cadets Comepetition at Bisley Ranges. The weathe, usually good for this competition, was absymal in the morning with heavy rain and strong winds, being especially testing for the coaching staff on the exposed firing point. Fortunatley the rain died out during the afternoon and the Sqn A Team of FS Dutch, Sgt Ischt, Sgt McCormack and Cdt Golemi being placed 2nd behind the winning Army Cadet Team, and Sgt Ischt taking the Silver Medal in the Individual 300 yard competition.  The competition provides excellent preperation for ISCRM in July, as the cadets and coaches can experience the pressure of a proper competition on the ranges they will be competiting on (although we hope the weather will be different! Congratulations to Cdt Chris Raj for achieving the top Sqn score of 62.4 out of 70. Thank are also due to the cadet who provided the Butt Party handling the targets throughout the day, who did an excellent and vital job.
