The Sqn deployed 60 cadets and staff to RAF Honington in Suffolk, the home of the RAF Regiment for a weeks camp over the October half term. During the week the cadets had the opportunity to:
Fly in a Search and Rescue Sea King helicopter of 22 Sqn
Fly the Tutor with 5 Air Experience Flight at RAF Wyton
Get up close and personal with:
Eurofighter Typhoon at RAF Conningsby
BAe Harrier at RAF Cottesmore
KC135 Stratotanker at RAF Mildenhall (an American Air Force Base)
Westland Apache at Wattisham Airfield
Visit the bombing range at Holbeach
Fire the L98 Rifle
Take part in an Night Exercise run by the RAF Regiment including the use of Night Vision Goggles and ‘basha’ out overnight
Bowling at Lakenheath Airfield
Tackle the High Ropes Confidence Course
and many other activities.
