October Activities

October has been very busy with the Sqn representing London Wing at the Region Field Day in shooting, Fanfare, Solo Bugler, Aeromodelling and aircraft recognition, Recruit and Field training at Crowborough, Flying and a second place in the Inter Service Cadet Shoot – CISSAM – full details can be found on our facebook page at 241squadron Air Cadets. September Activities

September has seen the Sqn competing at the London Wing Field Day in Drill, Banner Drill, Band, Air Recognition, Aeromodelling, First Aid, and aerophotgraphy – The Sqn won the overall trophy and First Aid, Band, Aeromodelling, Fanfare and came second in Banner Drill and solo drummer. August Activities

August has been a busy month with cadets at Annual Camp at RAF Halton, Gold and Silver expeditions in the Lake District, Drill and Cerimonial Camp at RAF Cranwell, IACE in the USA, camps in Gibralter and Cyprus and other activities – full details can be found on our facebook page at 241squadron Air Cadets – and September is going to be busier and our next recruit course starts in early October!

July Activities

The Sqn has had a busy and successful month with 4 Cadet 100s being gained at the Interservice Target Rifle Meeting, a gruelling Gold and Silver practise expedition, cadets flying, at the Royal International Air Tattoo, the ACO 75th anniversary sports challenge, bag packs, marking the anniversary of the Battle of the Somme and more – full details are on our Facebook page

June Activities

June has been busy with the 75th anniversary muster at RAF Benson, a visit to RAF Lyneham, Armed Forces Day in Ilford, a recruit passout parade, a Gold Duke of Edinburghs Award at Buckingham Palace and a fieldcraft instructors course plus a lot more! Full details can be found our our Facebook page

May Activities

May has been a hetic month with flying, DoE practise expeditions, Wing athletics, mountain walking in Snowdonia, parades at the Guidhall, St Pauls Cathederal, providing a carpet guard for our affiliated livery company, L81 and Air Rifle shooting and honouring Fg Off Ajvir Sandhu RAF (an ex CWO of 241) who was tragically killed in an accident. April activities

April has seen cadets at competing in the Innes Sword, McGrath Trophy (won by 1 Section), assisting at the 98th anniversary of the RAF, taking part in an L81 shooting camp and a drill & band camp, and CWO Campbell passing out of the QAIC course.  More details of these and other events are on our FaceBook page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/241-Wanstead-Woodford-Squadron-Royal-Air-Force-Cadets.

March Activities

January Activities

January has seen the Sqn celebrate its 75th anniversary but we also were busy with First Aid assesments, Navigation training in Epping Forest, L81 shooting starting the 2016 season, L98 shooting and obstacle course training with 31 Sqn and 5 cadets attending the Region Cross Countr.
